Enjoy a comfortable, and fun atmosphere to learn your instrument in at your own pace, skill level, and lessons set to your own individual goals.

Even if you are a brand new learner, you will sound beautiful from the moment you begin playing your instrument.

A typical lesson consists of Miss Smith playing along with the students at their own pace, in order to help them develop proper musical phrasing, finger placement and bow placement.  Students learn in a fun, friendly and upbeat way as they improve their own technique and musicality.  Students will be inspired by hearing how good they sound from their very first lesson!  

 
Miss Smith feels that an amazing teacher knows how to make the students sound beautiful from the moment they begin pulling a smooth sound out of their instrument. Students will hear their skills improve with every lesson.  No screeching or scratching sounds here!! Lessons are taught regularly, on a weekly or bi-weekly basis depending on their needs and goals.
 
Each lesson is private which allows the students to have individual attention for a solid half-hour/hour depending on their skill level and goals. Of course, friends and family are always welcome and invited in the lesson to see how they are doing.  Lessons are conducted in a safe, and worry-free environment. Basically, the more they play, or “practice” a musical selection, the more familiar they are with it and the better they become at anticipating what the music is supposed to sound like.  Students will eventually gain independence and have the ability to express the musical technique and phrasing necessary to show off their own musical style!
 
Practicing is a skill. Students are taught how to practice and encouraged in a very positive way as they continue to learn and have fun with their instrument. Goals are tailored to each students’ specific needs and personalized to their interests at their own pace. We will warm-up together, play through something new that has been assigned in a detailed manner, and then play something the student knows and is already proud of, so when they leave the lesson that day they will be looking forward to the next lesson the following week or soon thereafter.
